Northwest Foundation secures 5.3 million dollars in donor funding

Northwest Foundation Incorporated, the fundraising arm of Northwest Missouri State University, awarded its second highest level of scholarship distributions and secured 5.3 million dollars in donor funding during the 2019 fiscal year, a 15 percent increase over last year's total and adding to a record 21.5 million dollars during the last three years.

The Foundation awarded 1.04 million dollars in financial assistance through 1,344 scholarships during the 2019 fiscal year. Those numbers represent the highest dollar amount awarded in the history of the foundation as well as the highest number of donor funded scholarships awarded.

Additionally, the Foundation is actively raising funds for Northwest's Agricultural Learning Center. Donors contributed nearly 2.3 Million dollars making the total amount raised for the project 4.5 Million dollars.

The Northwest Foundation is a non profit corporation responsible for receiving, investing, stewarding, and disbursing private support on behalf of the donors of Northwest Missouri State university.
